Hi!

I'm Emily, an editorial and lifestyle photographer based in Washington DC. I specialize in weddings, engagement, fashion, sports, senior photos, individual and family portraits as well as any other moments of your life you would like to capture.

A midwest girl at heart, I was born in Nebraska and raised in Ohio. I have lived all across this country: Georgia, South Carolina, Illinois and Pennsylvania and most recently in St. Louis and Seattle.

My love for photography and visual storytelling began at Kent State University where I graduated with honors. Since then, I've worked at numerous newspapers and online publications as a photographer, videographer and photo editor. As a journalist, I have photographed the president of the United States, Game 7 of the 2011 World Series, an amputee ski camp, fashion, food, the aftermath of tornadoes and floods along with countless community events. Through my lens, I've seen hearts break and watched miracles happen. Regardless of the assignment I'm driven to tell people's stories in dynamic and interesting ways.

As a staff photographer at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, I was part of a team that was a finalist for Pulitzer Prize. As a freelancer, I have worked for The New York Times, Associated Press, Reuters, Major League Baseball and The Times of London.

I hope to bring my experience and vision to tell your unique story.
